Rodney Gilmour
President / Founder / Director
Rodney Gilmour, as Founder and President of the Bob Gilmour Ski Foundation, provides the strategic vision that drives the foundation's mission to support Canadian ski athletes year-round. His leadership ensures the foundation remains focused on developing, training, competing, and educating athletes while building a sustainable future for ski racing programs in Canada.
Rodney Gilmour is an accomplished marketing strategist and veteran of the sports and outdoor recreation industries, with over 35 years of experience driving brand growth and business development. He has held senior marketing leadership roles at prominent companies including Gilmour Sports Ltd, Burleigh Point Canada (Billabong Canada), Merrell Canada, and O’Neil Canada. Known for his strategic vision and client engagement expertise, Rodney has successfully spearheaded numerous go-to-market campaigns that enhanced brand visibility and expanded market share.
In addition to his marketing career, Rodney played a pioneering role in Canadian skiing and snowboarding as Director of Snowboarding at Mont Tremblant Resort from 1991 to 1993. During his tenure, he Directed Canada’s first snowboard school and established Mont Tremblant’s first snowboard park, significantly contributing to the growth of organized snowboarding in Quebec and across Canada. Rodney worked closely with leading snow sports brands such as Burton, Oakley, Billabong, Spyder, Merrell, Blizzard Ski, and O’Neil. Beyond his directorial role, he contributed to the development of the industry through his work as Pass Director of NSIA and as a committee member of the Canadian Ski Council, shaping ski and snowboard sport standards and growth nationally.
Rodney’s combined expertise in marketing and snow sports leadership makes him a valuable director and trusted partner for businesses and organizations aiming to innovate and succeed in these dynamic sectors.

Diane Culver
Scholar specializing in sport pedagogy and psychology
Diane Culver is a scholar specializing in sport pedagogy and psychology whose work focuses on advancing learning, equity, and innovation in sport. Her research centers on three key areas: coach development—including in parasport contexts and through a gender equity lens—social learning theory and communities of practice, and participatory action research.
As the founder and leader of the SoLID (Social Learning, Innovation, and Development in Sport) research group, Diane collaborates with sport organizations and members to build their learning capabilities. She is also a Fellow of the, an international network of researchers and practitioners dedicated to advancing social learning theory.
Diane’s scholarly work has appeared in leading publications such as The Sport Psychologist, the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, and Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise and Health. She also serves on the editorial boards of the International Sport Coaching Journal, Sport Coaching Review, and the Canadian Journal for Women in Coaching.
Before her academic career, Diane coached for both the Canadian National Ski Team and the New Zealand Olympic Ski Team. She also served as a senior coaching consultant with the Coaching Association of Canada, contributing to national-level coach education and development initiatives.

Phil Belec an entrepreneur and investor
Phil is an entrepreneur and investor with an extensive track record in the development and operation of entertainment and recreational tourism projects, and over 20 years of experience in marketing/communications.
He is a lifetime skier; a 40-year member of the CSIA and CSCF, was President of the Tremblant Ski Club and, for 15 years, hosted the ski reports & ski tips for CHOM-FM, CTV, RDS and Global Television.
